Aurelija Žvirblienė

Prof. Dr. Aurelija Žvirblienė is a chief scientist and head of Dept. of Immunology at the Life Sciences Center of Vilnius University, President of the Lithuanian Society for Immunology. Her research interests are focused to development of monoclonal and recombinant antibodies, antigenicity studies of recombinant viral antigens and investigation of their impact on innate immunity cells. A.Žvirblienė is an author of over 100 scientific publications on the fields of Immunology and Biotechnology. She is teaching Immunology to Vilnius University students of Biochemistry, Medicine and Molecular Biotechnology study programs. Besides research and teaching activities, she is involved in expert work and science popularization. She is a member of the EuroMabNet, EFIS Vaccination Task Force and the national Expert groups on Vaccination at the Ministry of Health.
