Gilbert G.G. Donders

Gilbert Donders works as a Gynecologist in both private and academic hospitals in Belgium. He holds a position of full professor in Antwerp University. His main field of research is lower genital tract pathology, infectious pathology, and contraception. His international experience accumulates clinical work, research projects, PhD promotion and training in several countries like the USA, Baltic states, Uganda, South African, the Netherlands and Portugal.  In 2001 he founded 'Femicare',  a non-profit organization dealing with investigator-driven as well as industry sponsored clinical trials. He is founding member and elected President of the International Society for Infectious Diseases in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISIDOG). Prof Donders has a worldwide network of collaborators and lab facilities and (co-)authored more than 250 peer reviewed papers and 5 books.
