
Manuel Wilbring
Prof. Dr. Manuel Wilbring is a distinguished cardiac surgeon and Managing Consultant at the University Heart Center Dresden. Born in 1980 in Bonn, he moved to Dresden in 1993, where he later pursued his medical studies. He began his residency in cardiac surgery in 2007 at the University Heart Center Dresden, with additional training at the University Heart Center Hamburg (2009–2010). He completed his specialization in 2014 and later served as a Senior Consultant at the University Heart Center Halle before returning to Dresden as Managing Consultant.
Prof. Wilbring’s clinical and scientific work focuses on minimally invasive cardiac surgery, aortic valve replacement, mitral valve repair, and transcatheter procedures. He has published over 90 peer-reviewed articles on the outcomes of minimally invasive surgery, catheter-based techniques, and the management of infective endocarditis and complex cardiac procedures. A sought-after speaker, he has delivered over 100 national and international lectures, sharing insights from his research and advancing innovations in modern cardiac surgery.
