Sandra Fernandes

Sandra Fernandes is a professor and researcher at the University of Minho (Braga, Portugal), holding a PhD in Political Science with specialization in International Relations from Sciences Po Paris. Her research interests are centered on the external action of the European Union and its relations with Russia, the post-Soviet space, geopolitics, multilateralism, foreign policy analysis and international security. Her influence and contributions extend beyond academia, including collaborations with Portuguese ministries, as well as with bodies from several other countries. Additionally, she has been invited to serve as a dialogue facilitator.

Her expert knowledge is available in more than 100 publications in different outlets, such as scientific journals, books and working papers. Her regular media appearances and opinion articles serve as a means of disseminating her specialized knowledge to a wider audience.
